We’re delighted to announce that broadcaster, presenter and American football enthusiast Jay Lawrence will be hosting the Louisiana Legends Tour.
Jay is a familiar voice to listeners across the UK, regularly appearing on Absolute Radio, where his passion, humour and storytelling have made him a popular figure on the airwaves. Away from radio, he has built a strong following within the American football community through his coverage of the NFL and college football, becoming one of the UK’s most recognisable football personalities.
A dedicated LSU fan, Jay will be with the group throughout the tour, sharing his insight, experiences and enthusiasm as we experience the traditions, culture and atmosphere that make Louisiana football so special. From the tailgates of Baton Rouge to game day at Death Valley and the bright lights of New Orleans, Jay’s passion for the sport will add an extra dimension to an already incredible football weekend.

Death Valley to the Big Easy
Day 1 – Arrive in Louisiana
Your Louisiana football adventure begins with a direct British Airways flight from London Heathrow to New Orleans. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to Baton Rouge, home of the LSU Tigers. After checking into the 4★ Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino & Hotel, you’ll have time to settle in and soak up the excitement ahead. With welcome amenities waiting for you on arrival, it’s the perfect start to an unforgettable Southern football experience.
Day 2 – Explore Baton Rouge & LSU
Today you’ll enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes introduction to one of the most famous universities in American sport. Join local experts for a guided tour of the LSU campus, learn about the history of the Tigers, and meet the caretaker of the legendary Mike the Tiger mascot. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet a former LSU football player, hear stories from inside the programme, and visit the famous LSU Dairy Store for a delicious ice cream tasting experience. This is your chance to experience LSU beyond game day and discover why it means so much to the people of Louisiana.
Day 3 – LSU Game Day
Get ready for one of the most iconic experiences in college football. Game day at LSU is unlike anything else in sport, and you’ll be right at the heart of the action. Enjoy police-escorted transfers to campus before joining local fans at a reserved tailgate packed with authentic Louisiana food, drinks and incredible atmosphere. Watch the LSU Tiger Band prepare for the game, join thousands of passionate supporters on the famous Victory Hill march, and then take your seat inside the legendary Death Valley as LSU takes on Texas in one of the biggest matchups of the season. From the sights and sounds to the energy and traditions, this is college football at its absolute best.
Day 4 – New Orleans & NFL Game Day
After breakfast, you’ll travel to the vibrant city of New Orleans, famous for its music, food, culture and unmistakable atmosphere. After checking into the 4★ Courtyard by Marriott New Orleans French Quarter, it’s time for the second game day of the trip. Enjoy a pre-game tailgate experience before heading to the stadium to watch the New Orleans Saints take on the Carolina Panthers. With lower-level tickets included, you’ll be perfectly positioned to experience the excitement of NFL football in one of the league’s most passionate football cities.
Day 5 – Louisiana Swamp Tour & New Orleans
Today you’ll discover a completely different side of Louisiana as we head deep into the state’s famous bayous and wetlands. Your included swamp tour takes you through stunning cypress forests, winding waterways and the unique landscapes that have become synonymous with Louisiana culture. Keep an eye out for alligators, turtles, birds and other native wildlife as experienced local guides share stories about the history, ecology and traditions of the region.
After returning to New Orleans, you’ll have free time to explore one of America’s most vibrant cities. Wander through the historic French Quarter, enjoy live jazz music, sample world-famous Cajun and Creole cuisine, or simply soak up the atmosphere of Bourbon Street and Jackson Square. It’s the perfect way to round off an unforgettable football weekend in Louisiana.
Day 6 – Return to the UK
Enjoy a final morning in New Orleans before making the most of any last-minute sightseeing, shopping or dining opportunities. Later, you’ll transfer to the airport for your direct overnight British Airways flight back to London Heathrow. As you head home, you’ll have incredible memories of two unforgettable game days, exclusive LSU experiences, authentic Louisiana culture and a football adventure unlike any other.
